Here, you can look forward to something truly special. Essensen af Gaarden is a gastronomic experience in North Jutland,
where food, nature and the secrets of the Gaarden all become part of the evening.
Our farm is over 100 years old and holds many secrets and hidden corners. We have discovered them, and if you’re lucky,
you might discover some of them too.
Without giving too much away, we can promise you an experience unlike anything you’ll find elsewhere.
And one that will send you home with a smile.
Our kitchen takes inspiration from the seasons, using produce from our own kitchen garden whenever possible.
Freshly harvested, locally grown and full of flavour.
We reinterpret classic dishes, combining traditional craftsmanship with curiosity and creative, experimental flavours.
The menu features fish, meat and vegetable dishes, always with respect for the ingredients and the season.
Down-to-earth hospitality, flavour and a cosy atmosphere. It really is that simple.
Essensen af Gaarden is an experience for adults and is not suitable for children.
We start at 6 pm, and the evening lasts approximately three hours.

Price per person 1.495 DKK.
The price includes small bites with sparkling wine, a five-course menu with carefully selected drinks, beautiful surroundings, charming rooms,
a chat with the chef and, yes, an experience to remember for a lifetime…
The experience includes stairs, slopes and changes in ground level, making it unsuitable for guests with limited mobility.

Essence of the Farm with overnight stay

For guests travelling from afar, we have made it simple.
We have partnered with two hotels in Sæby and Frederikshavn.
