A Tuesday evening that feels a little like the weekend

Hverdagen på Gaarden is our relaxed everyday dining experience near Frederikshavn.
An informal evening where good food, a cosy atmosphere and time around the table take centre stage.
The concept was featured on the Danish TV 2 programme Sæt pris på Danmark in 2023.

In the kitchen, we start with a classic dish and give it our own interpretation.
We follow the seasons and use produce from our own kitchen garden whenever possible.
The dish may include vegetables, fish and meat.

There is plenty of food to go around. Enjoy your meal, take your time and stay around the table a little longer.
We offer a good selection of drinks, and if you would like to finish the evening with dessert, you can of course add that too.

Our restaurant is cosy in both summer and winter. When the weather is good, we move outside to our courtyard among flowers and butterflies.
During the colder months, we light the wood-burning stove in our cosy dining rooms.
We set the tables with our collection of vintage china, much of it kindly given to us by our guests over the years.
It gives each table its own character and fits perfectly with the relaxed atmosphere at Essens Gaarden.
